A 30-year-old EMT recently ran into a very serious situation after coming home intoxicated and getting into an altercation with his family members. Allegedly, the man became angry and caused significant damage to an automobile and when police arrived, he was charged with two counts of battery and one count of criminal mischief. In addition to the impact these offenses could have on his career as an EMT since they are considered class B misdemeanors, he could potentially be incarcerated for 180 days for each offense, totaling 540 days.

After consulting with Hessler Law, Indiana criminal defense attorney Sean Hessler began working to protect his client’s best interests. This led to negotiations with the prosecution and when issues with the case and the witnesses in question became apparent, attorney Hessler secured a complete dismissal.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
